South African regulations require interested and affected parties to provide contact information as part of regulatory processes conducted, e.g., the National Land Transport Act, 5 of 2009, Promotion of Access to Information Act, 2 of 2000, Promotion of Administrative Justice Act, 3 of 2000, and so on. In terms of Condition 6, regulation 17 - 18 of the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013, the Transport Authority for Gauteng (TAG) is required to disclose the reason for collecting personal contact information of meeting participants and indicate for what purpose key role-players’ personal information will be used.
In the case of the project to develop and prepare the Strategic Transport Plan (STP) for the Gauteng Province and its Integrated Implementation Plan (IIP), the TAG is collecting the personal contact information of strategic key role-players to collaborate and participate in the project.
As such, the TAG will use personal contact information of strategic key role-players to communicate with them regarding project milestones, invite them to provide input, as well as provide process evidence, e.g., signed meeting attendance registers containing personal contact details of attendees and comments received by key role-players to the Gauteng MEC for Roads and Transport
The undersigned consent that the personal contact information is provided by voluntary agreement.
